How to Save Money with Spring Cleaning

Here in here in NC the pollen is falling!. Last night I got out of the car and could see the pollen falling through the light from my high beams. This made me think that it’s time to check the filters. But this is not just in the home.
The 100% guaranteed way to increase in the lifespan of your equipment is by keeping them clean. Clogged filters and gunked fans can rob equipment of vital airflow that helps keep them cool and running properly. Overheated equipment does not present the question of “if it will fail,” but rather when it will fail (generally 5 minutes before showtime). This is very important in amplifiers, projectors, and computers.
So make sure you keep things clean and save money that by not having to replace equipment that just needed a good cleaning. Then you can buy the new stuff that we would all rather spend our money on.
Extra tip: While cleaning the filters this is a good time to check the ventilation and make sure the equipment is getting the right airflow. You can then add in more ventilation, fans, or dedicated AC units (mainly large equipment rooms) to help the equipment stay cool and functioning.
I found this the other day looking for a vacuum to use to clean a sound console. If you do a lot of cleaning the cost savings of this over cans of air could be significant over time.
